At a glance

  • In an emergency, call 108 or go to the nearest hospital. Don't wait for an online consultation or a reply from us.
  • Our guides, videos and test pages are general health information, reviewed by doctors. They are not a diagnosis or a substitute for seeing a doctor.
  • Never start, stop or change a medicine because of something you read here. Talk to your doctor first.
  • Doctors and labs on PriorityHealth24 are independent and responsible for the care and results they provide.

1.Health information, not medical advice

The content on PriorityHealth24, including condition guides, symptom lists, test descriptions, FAQs and videos, is for general information and education. It is written to help you understand your health and prepare for conversations with your doctor.

It is not medical advice, and it can't take into account your symptoms, history, examination or other test results. Only a qualified doctor who has assessed you can diagnose a condition or recommend treatment.

Reading our content, or using the site, does not create a doctor–patient relationship with PriorityHealth24 or with any doctor who reviewed the content.

2.Emergencies

PriorityHealth24 is not an emergency service. If you or someone with you has a medical emergency, call 108 or go to the nearest emergency department straight away. Examples include chest pain, difficulty breathing, severe bleeding, fainting, sudden weakness or confusion, or thoughts of harming yourself.

Don't delay getting help because you are waiting for an online consultation, a booking confirmation or a reply from our support team.

3.How our content is written and reviewed

  • Each condition guide and lab test page is reviewed by a named, registered doctor, and shows who reviewed it and when.
  • We base content on established clinical guidance and update it when that guidance changes, but medicine moves quickly and a page may not reflect the very latest evidence.
  • People respond differently to conditions and treatments. Typical symptoms, ranges and timelines on our pages may not apply to you.
  • If you think something on the site is wrong or out of date, please tell us so a reviewer can check it.

4.Doctors, clinics and labs

Doctors, clinics and labs listed on PriorityHealth24 are independent professionals and organisations. They are solely responsible for the advice, prescriptions, treatment, sample collection and test reports they provide, as explained in our Terms of Use.

We check medical council registration for doctors and NABL accreditation for labs before listing them. This verification doesn't guarantee the outcome of any consultation, test or treatment, and a listing is not a recommendation that a particular doctor or lab is right for you.

5.Lab tests and results

  • Test descriptions explain what a test measures and how to prepare. They don't tell you which tests you need; your doctor is best placed to decide that.
  • Reference ranges differ between labs, methods, ages and situations such as pregnancy. A result outside the printed range isn't always a problem, and a result inside it doesn't always rule one out.
  • Always have your results interpreted by a doctor, together with your symptoms and history.

6.Medicines

  • Don't start, stop, skip or change the dose of any medicine based on information on PriorityHealth24. Follow the instructions of the doctor who prescribed it.
  • General guidance on how to take a medicine, such as timing or food, may not suit your situation or other medicines you take.
  • Mentioning a medicine or brand is not an endorsement or a recommendation to buy it.

7.Health assistant and reminders

Where we offer a health assistant, it helps explain information such as what a prescribed medicine is for and what to ask at your next visit. It cannot diagnose, prescribe or change your treatment, and its answers can be incomplete or wrong. Check anything important with your doctor.

Reminders for medicines, follow-ups and repeat tests are a convenience. Messages can be delayed or missed, so don't rely on them as your only way to remember important doses or appointments.

8.Videos, links and third-party content

Videos feature doctors sharing general information, not advice for individual viewers. Links to other websites are provided for convenience; we don't control or endorse their content.

9.Questions or corrections

To report an error in our content, or ask about this disclaimer, email [support@your-domain]. For complaints, contact our Grievance Officer.
